Jessica's Origin Story
From this bruised, burnt, and broken, intensely traumatized little girl I was born. I was created as a great protector to help this child survive the atrocities life had thrown her way. My breath sprang from the screaming only I could hear. Over the years I have kept my position as great warrior here, and because of me this child has grown into a strong, fierce woman I have become immensely proud of. When I first found her she had just tragically had her innocence ripped from her. I couldn't help but want to protect her as no one else had chosen to do. When I swept into her room I told her she would never again have to feel the intensity of these moments ever again. I would do whatever I could to keep this from her. How tragic would it be to lose a child of five due to things beyond her control. Someone needed to tell her she was going to be okay, and she didn't have to be afraid. I helped this child find her ...
